This text tool problem popped up again for me right after i did an update install for illustrator and this fixed the acrobat text tool problem redux: under the help menu dropdown there's a option called "repair acrobat installation". lcik on that and see if that fixes the text tool not working.. I use tools, advanced editing, touchup text tool. when i try to save my edits i get the following message: adobe acrobat 9.0 has stopped working.. Touchup text tool not working? - adobe acrobat macintosh. i have max os x 10.4, acrobat 8.1.2 and cannot get the touchup text tool to work? can select text and delete/copy/paste etc but cannot add/change/modify any text from the keyboard?.
